At Chiro-Arts, we love to work with performing and visual artists of all kinds, at all levels. Creative types such as dancers, musicians, actors, circus artists, visual artists, and writers all tend to experience certain patterns of postural and repetitive stress injury that are specific to their craft.
Artists are dedicated to their work, and in most cases a recommendation of "stop doing that" will not suffice. A provider who understands the specific challenges you face can help you perform to your fullest potential.
In addition to artists, a wide variety of folks can benefit from regular chiropractic care, including athletes, manual laborers, and healthcare workers just to name a few. So even if you have two left feet, can’t carry a tune in a bucket, and haven’t mastered drawing a stick figure, we’ve still “got your back” (...or shoulder...or ankle...)
Dr. Yori Thomas is a skilled chiropractor with a special interest in helping artists achieve the good physical health they need to excel in their crafts. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater and Dance Education from Emerson College and a Master of Education in Arts and Learning from Endicott College, in addition to Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees from the University of Western States. She holds an additional designation as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. Dr. Thomas is also a trained dancer, and member of Exit Dance Theater.
